Admissions, Adopt, and FosterFoster CareOHRR is in need of additional foster home providers to enrich the lives of our rescued rabbits. Fostering can be a very rewarding experience for both the rabbit and the foster parent. A foster home setting provides the rabbit with a safe and nurturing environment while the animal waits to be placed in a permanent home. Foster home settings enable the rabbit to live indoors as a companion animal and promote exercise and socialization through daily interactions with the foster family. If you are interested in providing a foster home for a rescued rabbit, please review our Foster Home Policy. If you have read the Foster Home Policy and are interested in applying to provide a foster home for a rescued rabbit, please complete and submit the online application here. Admissions PolicyOhio House Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is a restricted admissions organization. If space is available, Ohio House Rabbit Rescue will accept rabbits that have been rescued by Ohio House Rabbit Rescue staff or volunteers and rabbits rescued and then surrendered by a Good Samaritan. Bug! Bug is a great smaller rabbit who loves to be petted and picked up. He is a mixture of Lionhead, English Spot, and maybe even some Hoto. He loves to run and binky outside of his enclosure and would love to have a cottontail cottage to play in. |
Alice is a fun-loving, floppy bunny with gorgeous white fur and pink eyes. She is a young bunny, approximately 5 months old, and is quickly growing into her large feet and big ears! She is a busy girl with lots of spunk. Her latest endeavor is remodeling her cardboard hidey box-giving it a sunroof. She loves playing, especially tossing her toys. She also has quite an appetite for hay and has wonderful litterbox habits. Alice had a rough start in life but has quickly become used to being a spoiled house bunny and adores attention for her human friends. |

Addie was rescued with her sister and is approximately 4 months old. Unfortunately after being spayed, she and her sister are no longer bonded but I believe Addie would do well with a bunny friend or as a single bunny. Addie has a huge appetite for pellets and hay, and she would not miss her nightly salad. Of course, her 2 bites of banana each day are the best-she wiggles in delight when its snack time. Addie loves to snuggle on a towel while she sleeps in her hidey box. She has also started to discover that she can nibble on the willow basket that is in her pen. Running thorough tunnels and flinging toys are her favorite activities. Addie is a very clean rabbit, and seems very eager to meet human visitors. She will be a fun-loving, curious, and wonderful house bunny. |

Lucy, a Netherland Dwarf, is a spunky little girl who is approximately 2 years old. Lucy is shy, but can be petted when she is in her litter box. She can be found doing the bunny 500 during playtime outside her x-pen. She loves her Cottontail Cottage, spending a lot of time lounging on the second floor. She loves her hay, pellets, and green-leafed lettuce. She has excellent litter box habits and is spayed. Lucy would love a permanent loving home to call her own. |
Winnie, a Checkered Giant, is a great bunny who loves to be petted. When you enter the room she is in, she immediately is up on her hind legs looking for pets. When you sit down to interact with her, she runs immediately over to you and wants to be petted. She loves her pellets and hay and lot of water. |
Daisy, a Netherland Dwarf, is a wonderful little girl who is approximately 2 years old. She loves to be petted. She particularly likes to spend time in her Cottontail Cottage adventuring up to the top level. She loves her hay, pellets, and green leaf lettuce. Daisy is spayed and has excellent litter box habits. Upon her surrender to OHRR, Daisy's eye was enucleated due to an illness or injury that occurred early in her life and that went untreated by her previous owner. Daisy has not needed any time to adjust to the loss of this eye since our vet believes that she has been blind in that eye since birth or soon after. She is a beautiful little girl who would love a permanent home with a loving family. |
