Rescue rabbit Roz wants to let everybun know our Hop Shop and Adoption Center will be closed on Sunday, April 5th for Easter. Easter can be a very sad time for bunnies, where they are treated like novelties or toys intstead of living beings. Rabbits are truly amazing animals and are wonderful companions for the right person, but they require commitment, education, and an adult to care for them. They should never be an Easter impulse.
Here are some ways to help rabbits during Easter time and all year round:

Take time to learn about bunnies. Read books, rescue websites, and articles (like ours & rabbit.org), to make an educated decision where everyone will be happy – the humans and the bunny! Support rabbit rescues – donate, engage on social media, volunteerLearn about fostering a rabbit to see what it is like to have one in your home If you’re serious about having a rabbit friend in your home, adopt from a rescue, not a pet store or breeder! Every rabbit rescue is at full capacity with bunnies that need homes. Plus, rescue bunnies are usually already spayed/neutered.
